Updates....

Since last update, we have now finally moved to our own apartment. That feels gooood! Many expats think we live too far from the city, according to Ida: 21 minutes on the MRT (train / underground), but we find it so convenient with everything; school 5-min walk, Runes job15-min, shops around the corner, food-courts $3 a meal (NOK 15,-), MRT-station across the street..... Here we can bicycle around the block, park or where-ever.... So far, we are very happy about being able to live "out here"!
Our apartment was partly furnished, just about enough for every-day living, so we are working on it to be our "home".
Some pictures from "The Lakeshore":

The pool-area here is just great!
Idas school from the window one morning....
   From the balcony one evening....

On sep. 1st we went to Sentosa, where you can find the Universal studios, Underwater world, beach etc. They celebrated 40th anniversary this year. We did not enter any of the theme-parks, but had a walk around just to see what it was like. We have to save some excitement till we get visitors!

On sep. 2nd we went on the top of the Marina Bay Sands, on the "ship-deck", to have a view over the city. Next time I want to book a room in the actual hotel, so I can go swimming in the pool on the top!

Sep. 16th we had a trip down to Chinatown, because we wanted to have a look at all the lanterns in the occation of the Lantenern- / Mid-Autumn Festival. More information about what is happening in Chinatown you can find here.

Sep. 22nd we jumped on our bicycles along with our new Aussie-freinds across the corridor on the condo, grabbed a meal at the food-court, and off we went to the celebration at the Chinese gardens.
